Somewhat shy dark bramble fruit on nose, faint peppery spice and dark roast coffee on nose. Notable tension, spicy mid-palate with leather, tobacco and quite firm tannins on the finish that build with each sip. Next day some slightly raisin and prune notes were evident suggestion this #tempranillo from #riberadelduero might be at peak or perhaps wasn’t stored properly before we received it as a gift.
