Whats not to love about Blue Mountain Pinot Noir. Sells out immediately and quite rightly so had it tonight with a fig stuffed pork roast. Beautiful red fruit, balanced acidity. Love and glad I have 5 of them

A bright and lively Pinot with an earthy, cocoa nose and a soft and peppery palate of raspberry and rhubarb.

2011 vintage. Strawberry and stewed rhubarb on the nose, nicely balanced taste with pleasant minerality on the finish. Better then the 2009 or 2010 vintages which had a bit too much acidity, and drinking well right now.

2013 vintage. Light ruby. Ribena and strawberry compot on opening gives way to floral pot poori toilet air freshener. On the palate, medium minus body, medium alcohol. Red compot fruits. Again, astringent acidity that gives a bitter edge to the sweet lush fruit. Finish is medium minus. Disappointing Pinot. Out of balance - acidity is unattractive, as I have found with a lot of BC Pinots. And Pinot just shouldn't smell of toilet freshener! I think the Meritage wines are much better despite the northerly latitude of the growing region which would suggest Pinot should do quite well here.
