Tightly knit at first but opens up to an elegant old-world style, reminiscent of a right-bank Bordeaux. Cigar box and eucalyptus on the nose and plenty of red and black fruits. Smooth lingering peppery finish and impressive structure.

Big red fruit. High alcohol content (14.5%). Opened up nicely. Good structure for a WA cab. Went magnum style on this one!

Initial attack of warm espresso/cocoa, giving way to bright red cherry, and finishing on an earthy, herbal notes. Perfect to pair with Spinach salad, mashed potatoes, and roasted fall veggies! Yum.

Thanks V.A.M.P. for reciprocating to our '07 with the fabulous '06 Betz Red Bordeaux Blend 'Clos de Betz'. This purple/black effort was layered, intense and concentrated with espresso, grilled meat, graphite and dark fruit aromas. The complex nose lead to a creamy and soft, but massive, mouth palate of candied cherry and dried herbs. A generous length and silky smooth finish. Glad we're both on the Betz bandwagon.
