Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

14.5% ABV.
Please don’t let my somewhat modest rating deter you from seeking this out. It simply isn’t my preferred style of Napa CS any longer and I primarily use Delectable for my own internal notes.

Purple inky colour, chocolate and a hint of fine leather on the nose. Silky smooth, with elegant tannins and structure Smooth and long finish. #beringer

Very nice. Good body. A hint of sweetness at the back.

Not as much character as the Seavey which I attribute in part to the vintage. Dense but soft. Good stuff.

2009!25th anniv dinner party at IL Chianti

1997ドミナスと似た香り、味わい。
やや若め。

Super complex nose with figs, olive juice, roasted dark nuts, funk, and black licorice. Following that is a bit of a let down. Palate starts strong with dark fruit and charred earth but the watery finish (that I feel like is a vintage thing) leaves me hangin. Doubtful more time will help. Still a good showing.
