Quite impressed that another one in the group tonight called it out blind.

George Latour, born in 1982. Sounds like a school friend. This one has volatile alcohol on the nose. Again, just like some school friends. This bottle might not be perfect.

Jul 19th, 2013Nicely aged. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Still very powerful. Vanilla, cotton candy, black cherry with tree. Perfectly balanced. The best 7-80's napa wine I've ever tasted.

1982 vintage. Respectable fill and cork. Decanted and tasted after two hours. A bit prunish in the nose but that didn’t translate into the flavor profile. Medium body. Still lots of ripe fruit with a decent amount of acidity. Much better than anticipated. Holding strong. 3.5.24.

Nice mature wine with a slightly Madeirized nose, a medium to full body with nicely integrated acid, tannin & mature fruit, but not a lot of complexity & a nice medium-length aftertaste.
