Overall tawny with a mid crimson core. Not as complex as I thought it would be for a 2003 BP Premium. Aromas of Forest floor, Mulch heap with earthy mushroom notes. BP Premiums usually good for 15 years but this faded a little at the end. A lovely wine nevertheless with a long persistence of flavour.

Cherry and Forest Pine nuances. Colour of cold black tea. Light to middle weight Pinot Noir. Sappy with good intensity and length. Very Burgundian and very good.

Palish tawny colour showing its age. Intoxicating perfume of stewed fruits, note of varnish/polish. Powerful persistent palate with soft tannins. Balanced and long. 18-
