This is the entry level Cuvée of about 6 Cuvées of Pinot Noir from Bass Phillip. Under the new ownership of Burgundian, Jacques Fourrier, there appears to be less offered of about 4 judging by the 2019 vintage I just purchased a few weeks ago. This had a touch of cloudiness which is not unusual as they bottle unfiltered which contributes to flavour intensity. This had pronounced strawberry notes on nose and palate. Not particularly complex but fruit driven with note of game and very enjoyable.

This is Bass Phillip’s entry level of about 6 different Pinot Noir Cuvées. In the glass a rich crimson in colour and a little cloudy which can happen when the wine is unfiltered as is often the practice at BP. Aromas of forest floor and compost heap. The palate is flavoursome with good concentration and amazing intensity for an entry level Pinot Noir. The fact that it is unfiltered contributes to this. Red fruits, cherry and also beetroot - earthy nuances.

This is the entry level of about 5 or 6 different Pinot Noir Cuvées made by Bass Phillip. Pale Ruby in colour and cloudy which you often get with unfiltered BP Pinots. A wonderful nose - fresh aromatic sweet and savoury cherry and gamey notes. The light to medium bodied palate shows the same descriptors with fine tannins and medium minus acid. For short term (5 years) delicious drinking. Similar the following night - fresh red cherries.
