More impressive than the last tasting in August this year. Raspberry, strawberry and other red fruits and a hint of clove. A lovely fresh spicy nose. A light weight plus palate showing sour cherry, muted acid finishing with very fine tannins. Phillip Jones showing his skill with a grape other than Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. Good to drink now or in the next 12 months.

Quite a rich colour for the light weight wine that follows. A somewhat frivolous nose of roses, spice, perfume, confectionery in general. The palate is fairly simple with low tannins and low acid. The Pinots from Bass Phillip are much more impressive.
