Dazzling mountain fruit aromatics of pencil lead, cinnamon and cedar shavings. Very dense and tannic but sweet blackberry fruit and chocolate covered expresso beans shine through. I absolutely love these wines but I highly recommend you give them 10+ years in the bottle so they can strut.

1.5 of 2008 rattlesnake. Drink this while we watched the new movie "SOMM." A truly inspiring wine as well as the movie

Chambord, grilled meat and pomegranate on the nose. The mountain fruit has evolved and is much more subdued offering notes of milk chocolate, kirsch and white pepper. Finish is quite long. Rattlesnake is a special vineyard and the 08 is showing its stuff beautifully.

A personal fav...great mountain Cab, the Barnett RH represents the best CA has to offer in its better years. This has fantastic structure, reddish purple fruit, anise, mocha, minerals, and energy to spare...still on its ascendancy.

Rhubarb, framboise and wet asphalt on the nose. Typical Spring Mountain fruit forward flavors balanced by firm but well integrated tannins. Long finish. Barnett never garners huge ratings but we love it and it has a prominent place in our cellar.
