Holds up incredibly well. Mushrooms, truffles, organic earth are all prevalent, but it still is showing brightness and is lively with some bing cherry and cranberry secondary notes. Very long finish and this vintage could easily be mistaken for Burgundy. A few years ago, I never would have expected to be so pleased with a 17 year Virginian wine.

2001. More leathery and peppery due to its age. Not palate-friendly but better than '10. Not as balanced and not complex. Not too bad to drink but wouldn't buy it myself.
