Medium deep slightly hazy garnet , quite thin terracotta rim . This is quite restrained and closed on the nose , with a herbal , light ‘swimming pool’ nose , darkly spiced , earthy dried cherry . On the palate this is smaller framed than expected, with notes of currants , rose, dark cherry . Slightly drying tannins , quite fresh acidity , slightly herbal finish of ok length . I would drink this sooner rather than later on this showing as there is not a lot of fruit left on this , quite somber and aloof in style . From now and over the next few years . This was a little perplexing here and quite probably there will be better bottles of this out there .

Pissed off at not being on our plane to Europe tonight due to the eye, so had to open something great!! No dissapointment here.....Wonderful wine, with syrupy like legs, and a 20 sec finish!! Helping ease the pain ☺
