Reduced at first smell. Needed a good 2 hours in the decanter yo show the pure strawberry ice cream character that defines this wine in the ‘14 vintage. Slight herbs and paint thinner in the background, but this is so subtle and only there if you search for it. Full-bodied & saline on the palate. Dark herbs more prominent. Strawberry. Extraordinary finish. Chalky tannins. A touch hot on the back of the palate. This wine went surprisingly fast.
