Not especially concentrated, but it’s got acidity and a bit of tannin that helps it cut through a rich meal — in this case a rich, long-simmered meat sauce.

N: cherries, licorice, tar, violets
P: fresh cherries on the palate with a bit of white pepper, tomato water, tobacco, and savory herbs. A bit tamer on the palate — was expecting a little more punch — but pleasant.
Nice either sausage and mushroom pizza.

Hard to beat for $22. Aromas of walking through a field of flowers. Cherry, rose petal, and fresh tobacco flavors. Reminds me of a top tier Cote du Py.
