Big powerful purple fruit style, cocoa dusted mega tannin and licorice, nose full of plums, tar and cocoa. Still, theres lovely minerality running through this semi-modern blockbuster, plenty of acidity and mid palate size but as expected - heat is a bit strong on finish and theres some wood furnishing the tannin. There are better for the cost.

Jan 2022: too much fruit and oak, on the verge of being off balance. 8.9 at this point. Dec 2023, another bottle, PnP: this one just awesome, very strong, nice balance, lots of fruit and oak, which is now fully integrated. Still a lot of potential for further aging. The rate is updated to well deserved 9.2

From Monopole vineyard(san rocco in Serralunga d'Alba) Concentrated cherry, dried mushroom, mineral, solinity , butter, hint of black pepper on the nose. concentrated cherry juice with masculin structure. Med plus acid, firm tannin. This barolo is ready to drink but if guest want more sweeter tannins, it can also ages.
