Light, rich but delicate, light cherry, hint of tobacco and leather, almost not fruit but delightfully dry. A truly fantastic wine.

Very nice and earthy. A little funk but not too much. Could use some opening up and I imagine will improve with a few years?

This was an exciting, complex, delish wine. Tart red fruit, great acidity, fine tannins and the perfect amount of forest floor/ herbal/ funk. Bet it would be amazing in a few years. But woops glad I didn't wait

Oct 13th, 2017My first time trying frappato and I'm glad it was Occhipinti's. The wine evolved throughout the course of the meal, starting with earth and funk, a good amount of acid, and ending with a well-rounded smokiness to it. Great bottle!
