Elegance with power, and a deft hand with Pisoni fruit which can sometimes be a bit much for me. This bottle had a little dip in the mid palate where a bottle 4 months ago was more seamless. I suppose a little bottle variation is ok at 11 years old.

Jul 7th, 2016This is how you handle Pisoni fruit - maintaining grace and elegance without losing the power of that vineyard, while at the same time not becoming an overwrought jam jar. Lovely, and perfect with a little decant.
