This is a simple Cabernet Sauvignon from Lodi, California.
Showing black fruits with chocolate notes, vanilla, coffee and peppercorn.
Dry to off dry on the palate with medium acidity. Medium plus in body and a tad sweet for my taste.
Spicy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
A little hot at the back of the throat. Simple and fruit forward.
A good everyday wine and good for parties.
Aged for 4 months in Bourbon Barrels.

Color of light purple, just a bit cloudy. Nose of fermented cabbage, currants, spicy bourbon note, and spicy alcohol vapor in the nasal cavity. Taste of black tea, light hint of apple, almost no tannins, a bit sweet from dark fruit like dark skin grape, some flowering notes, and a bit graphite note. Aftertaste shows some more black tea and warmth in the throat. Decent.

Jul 30th, 2021Color of shades of purple with bright ruby, quite clear. Nose of tobacco leaves, leather, sweet oak, blackberries, strength of alcohol, and more grape jelly. Probably hint of bourbon barrel spice. Taste follows the nose, quite sweet with hint of bourbon for sure. Dark fruits jelly flavors come after the bourbon barrel note. Some zesty flavors too. And more sweetness. Aftertaste of some more spice and tinkling sensation. On par.
