Meh. Over extracted and boring. Pruny without acid, extremely round and lacking any edges whatsoever. Terrible, when compared to the beauty of the 05. 07 wasn't the best year for every one, and this is the evidence.

Altamuras just get better with age.. this 2007 has great purity with a great nose of warm blueberry pie and a palate full of dark berries, a little oak, menthol and slight minerality that gives it freshness despite it being 12 years old!!

Black cherry and chocolate. Forward fruit and a long finish. Well balanced and luscious.

Fruit forward, smooth finish, with a leathery snoot (is that a word?)
