Nov 21st, 2016John Alban (and Glenn Skrabanik) certainly gets a lot of well-deserved praise for their Reds but to me their Whites (Rousanne and Viognier) is of equal quality.
This Viognier is just flat out gorgeous!
Please don't let the stated 14.8% alc. scare you off because it is well integrated and in pursuit of perfect balance 😉.
I would love to follow the evolution over the next 5-10 years but it's going to be hard to keep my hands off the limited stash....

Floral notes and crisp apples and pear on the palate. Paired nicely with salmon sashimi as a palate cleanser.

Alban is a big favorite of mine. This was a dry modestly fruity wine. Long finish with lots of creamy favor. Reminded of the Roussanne grape .
