The new project from Rhys. Tasted on and off over a week. This evolved nicely.

I think I enjoyed it more the first time. Still has the honey lemon green apple notes which is is always enjoyable to me. Add a little spice to the equation

It’s good to have a fresh tasting bottle after 2 oxidized bottles. Good but overpriced and I’m not a buyer in the future. I was promised replacements with the 2015 vintage.

Admittedly being a little generous with this score. Consumed over multiple days, first day was decanted for about 90 minutes. When this wine is on, it.is.on. honeyed melons and a little hint of salinity. Unfortunately that window doesn't last long. It becomes acidic, shrill, and bitter. I remember being underwhelmed at the Rhys pickup day for being muted. This evolution is worse.

Pale gold color. Nose of melon, yellow apple, ripe lemon with a little pungent character. Medium- body, salty and chalky palate that lingers on the long finish.

Three times I didn’t open a bottle. Trying to hold off after the shipment arrived. Tonight it was 90 plus outside so up the cork went. Glad I have some more bottles to savor over the next 4-5 years. It’s been open about 90 minutes and my appreciation is growing.
