My style of Cab Franc. This one is all about the fruit. The nose is dominated by dark blue fruits with a hint of vanilla and anise. The flavors follow on the palate with blueberries and blackberries and soft tannins. This is medium bodied with average acidity. While it lacks the mouthfeel and texture I tend to like, the flavors here more than make up for it. Really enjoyed this @Shay Aldriedge

What a pleasant surprise! I've heard that their '09 Cab Franc is phenomenal, but this is my first experience with Adobe Road's Cab Franc...bought these a while back at an event after never hearing of them and wanting some cab franc. Ruby red and royal purple mix in the glass. Surprised by the amount of fruit on the nose...blueberries, cranberries, plum, toasted oak. Smells a bit extracted, which actually works for this wine. Medium legs in the glass. Medium body, and the tannins take a back seat to the fruit even at this young age! Great acidity. Licorice, fig, blueberries and a faint spice of jalapeño to affirm it is a cab franc. Don't expect this to cellar for extended periods of time, but it's wonderful for the next 5-7. @Carl Fischer , have you had this?
