On the nose; sweet perfumed cassis, black raspberries, black plum, blue fruit mix, blackberries, black raspberries cola, fruit liqueur notes, fruit candy, dark chocolate and violets.

On the palate; the body is medium full. The tannins are firm but rounded and show some tarry quality. The fruits are ripe; blackberries, blue fruit mix, dark cherries, black raspberries, cherries, fruit liqueur quality, black licorice, dark chocolate, mocha, touch of caramel, dark rich soils, loamy clay and dry top soil, fresh red flowers and violets. The acidity is fresh and excellent. The finish is fresh & well balanced. Easy to drink this one young. Now to 2024.

Photos of; the cellar hands aerating and pumping the wine over the cap from concrete tanks. Alcohol evaporators (
@Paul Treadway Huntington Beacher Bevan & SQN could use a bunch of these). Rows of vines that show the rows of soil dug out for old fashion flood irrigation.

Deep dark red fruit with tight tannins slowly to release. It limited its depth and stayed a bit of a single note.

Ripe dark fruit core punctuated by herbal spices, dark chocolate and iron minerals. Feel a bit angular on the palate, but it was delicious and well balanced. Firm tannins.
I don’t think we gave it enough time to open up. This will cruise for another 5, 6 years.

Today I was craving some Argentinian wine 🍷🇦🇷 We got a 2014 Quimera from @achavalferrer Lovely Bordeaux red blend of 50% Malbec, 24% Cabernet Franc, 18% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. You can taste the savory and ripen flavors of raspberries, plumb, spices, and rosemary. A very approachable bottle. Really liked it! It is "ripeness married with freshness". Enjoy it! 🍷Cheers to South America! Salud!
