The second wine of the afternoon was the 1993 Abreu Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. A beautiful wine that has many more years to go in bottle.
The nose is rich in dark fruit, rustic black cherry, blackberry, anise, black currant, musk, leather, cigar box, tar and earth.
On the palate the dark fruit continues with black cherry, blackberry, black currant, licorice, cigar tobacco, tar and rich earth.
This wine is full bodied with medium acidity, medium smooth tannins almost fully resolved with a long earthy and fruity finish. A beautiful way to end the afternoon. Never expected a wine of this calibre but thanks to a close wine friend we were a la to experience this gem. Continued holiday wishes and please continued being safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
