Still just thick and massive. Got lost a little in the hoopla but showed striking depth and viscosity, albeit the fruit was a little reticent. I’ve had this for 10 years and I would have loved to watch this develop over the length of a long dinner paired with an A5 Kōbe Strip. If you have it slow ox and decant.

Perfect fruit. Beautiful aroma and palate of crushed berries with hints of earth, roasted meat, and flowers. Beautiful balance and silky smooth tannins. The wine continues to evolve in the glass. This is simply a stunning wine and worth the small fortune if you like California cab sav dominated blends. Wow

1 hour decant(decent chunky/cloudy sediment). A gorgeous dark murky purplish magenta color. On the nose: some dark cherry/blueberry, forest floor, chocolate mint, cedar. Taste: velvety, creamy, rich mouthcoating wine with a little dark cherry, earth, leather, crushed stone, and a tar/cedar long finish. Better place 2 years ago, not sure more time will do anything so drink em up

Jun 4th, 2023Abreu....really needs + 10 years to shine. A 1.5 hour decant. A glorious deep murky dark burgundy color with just a little bricking. On the nose: Kaboom! Big nose of dark cherry/plum, funky stewed meat, cassis, sweet mocha, wet forest floor, and a slight menthol. Taste: Buckle up and hold on to the guard rails!!! A creamy, rich, layered full body wine with dark cherry, chocolate, cassis, minerals, and a long earthy cedar finish. In its drinking window, pop one if you got em. Cheers!
