If anybody at delectable is listening...
I really enjoy storing photos of labels here and occasionally prefer to comment on a wine. I mean do I get saddle of dressage horse leather or new car smell? These things matter. What I deeply dislike about delectable is I have to score a wine to comment. Scores are occasionally useful but ultimately a limiting way to quantify taste. So many of us here are quick to add our scores. While at the same time deservedly hate on yelp and the inherent limitations of critic 100 point systems. Delectable help people like me. — 10 years ago
A pinot noir with structure and depth. Nice spice and hint of tobacco. Dark fruits on the palate, medium to high acidity and slightly bitter undertone. Mineral and clean finish. For a price under 40, this 1er is of great value — 9 years ago
Drinking beautifully. Elegant, structured, with crisp acidity and lingering finish. — 9 years ago
One of those white Burgundies that makes you question the logic of the crowd. Why is no one drinking Monnot? It's imported by the same guy who brings in Jamet. Powerful, intense, pure and showing plenty of pedigree, potential, and freshness tonight. — 10 years ago
Definitely can't beat this for the price. I saw a bottle at s friend's house and order one on a whim, I'll be ordering more. Beautiful garnet color and very well balanced on the palate. Tannins and spice are moderated well, making this Rhone blend wine very smooth. Finish is moderate in length but very consistent. — 9 years ago
Big red body. Which leads you to big spices of lavender, Rosemary, sage. 70% blend of Grenache 13% Syrah 12% Mourvèdre and 5%cinsault. Dense purple plums and darn cherries.
There are 3 premier Appalachians in rhone. Gigondas, vacqueyras, chateanueuf du pope (the last being the supreme). The story goes that the two keys on the crest of the chateauneuf wine were sealed and punishable by death if you were to drink it if you were not the pope. — 10 years ago

A privilege to taste this long out of market wine in magnum format. Obvious traces of age, and possibly past its prime, but still very enjoyable. — 9 years ago
