Deep impenetrable blood red. Oak on the nose with bacon, violets, black currant jam and a little must. Light-medium acidity and almost non-existent tannins are a surprise but bespeaks its age. Some sweetness consistent with new world cab. Cassis and dark fruits. Complex and delicious. Went well with steak but not a classic pairing due to the lack of tannins and sweetness. Would compliment hard and semi hard cheeses well. Also stews and casseroles. — 8 years ago
Surprisingly lively with hints of pencil shavings, graphite and black current undertones — 8 years ago
Towards the end of drinkable life. Pleasantly surprised by how much fruit was left. Great texture. — 9 years ago

Gorgeous Coonawarra, rich and luscious with slight hint of spice and nice tannin structure followed by decent dark fruits. — 7 years ago

This guy still needs another couple years to age. And when you open it wouldn't hurt to decant. But it's got good legs for aging, which kinda makes me wish I had bought more than one. Or waited longer. Thick as you might want in a red and rife with cassis, dried bay leaf, vanilla and maybe violets. Strong tannins. Yeah...I thought it would be okay to have this 2010 now but it could use a year or so. Or it may just be an overpowering cab. I mean it is tasty but pretty overpowering! Right now. — 8 years ago
Elegant, smooth, flavoursome. Puts a quiet smile on your dial. — 8 years ago
No 7 tasted Coonawarra Cab at the Tasting. The best of the inexpensive Cabernets IMO. Very balanced. Could be drunk now with great satisfaction or cellared for 5+ years. All the Cabernet descriptors apply. Loved it. — 8 years ago
