Cedary notes with undergrowth and a touch of asparagus. Soft silky yet assertive tannins if that makes sense. Detuned but authorative if that makes sense. A beguiling Wine which does make sense of these statements. This is very Bordelaise but personally I prefer some of the bolder masculine expressions in Wilyabrup like Woodlands and Moss Wood. So well balanced that nothing stands out. At 18 years old I will be drinking the last one when 20 in 2019. — 7 years ago
Absolutely sensational Malbec. Flavours coming through long after the mouthful of joy has finished. Jammy jammy jammy! Beautiful! — 8 years ago

Restrained nose of Plum and Prune. Also notes of wet hot bitumen road. Latent brooding power. Experts say drinking window to 2015 but will go on well beyond that IMO. Amazing fruit strength for a cool climate area like Washington State. Full bodied with decadently rich flavours. One of the best new world Cabernets I have had. Up there with Woodlands Moss Wood Dominus Sassacaia amongst others having not tried many of the Californian Cult classics. A birthday treat. — 9 years ago
Bought at the fruffy store in the Woodlands with Jen and Adam. Frank especially liked it. — 11 years ago

Wow an amazing find at the Woodlands. Outside of Houston Texas. Crush is a wine bar that knows and is a big fan of one of my favorite wine makers Heidi Barrett. This was the best selection tonight of Dominus 2012, Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, and Silver Oak 2007 Library release... all exceptional full bodied wines. If ever an opportunity to procure a bottle of the ever so silky smooth fruit forward Au Sommet please go for it. Incredibly complex blend of subtle flavor. This is a siping wine that needs to be appreciated with the most special people in your world. Obviously this is well paired with duck prepared as the French would suggest. My highest Regards to Heidi for conceiving this wine. — 7 years ago
Light to medium bodied but has intensity. 2.4 tonnes/Hectare - very low cropping and biodynamic and very Left Bank Bordeaux. Has the Margaret River Herbaceousness. Vanya Cullen prefers this style but I prefer the more masculine Cuvees made by Woodlands and Moss Wood. 87% Cabernet 11% Merlot 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Still a classy drop. — 8 years ago
Elegant & nuanced side of Cabernet (blends) that makes me want to explore more. Structured and slightly herbaceous. Really like the texture. — 8 years ago
