A five hour decant. Dark cherry and blueberries with a rub of minerals and tobacco. Just awesome — 8 years ago
Wish I could have tasted that over the course of 2-3 hours. It was dark, dry, and brooding. A witch over the kettle. Perhaps it is tasting better now, but sadly the bottle she is empty. — 9 years ago
Highly aromatic & stays mainly on the mineral side. It is enough fruit for me, apple, yellow melon plays with candied apricot, off dry but witch characteristic leon aftertaste - good value & heavily drinkable, our bottle disappeared in 20 minutes. Mine first French screw cap. — 10 years ago
Smooth witch rich flavor... — 10 years ago
Let it breathe a bit and then it's wonderful. Not too heavy and just the right amount of oak flavor with hints of cherry, leather and subtle spice — 10 years ago
Excellent Tuscan blend, medium body, good berry flavor witch some spice and complexity. 2012 vintage. — 8 years ago

Good typicity. Dried cranberry, red currant, red plum, dried rose, violets, organic and inorganic earth, moderate level of VA, normal for the style. Bridge between modern and old style. Paired well with a debate concerning the carrying capacity of European vs African swallows, ascertaining the guilt of a witch, and a near-fatal battle with a bloodthirsty rabbit :) — 10 years ago
A standard bearer for modern Crozes-Hermitage. Baked blueberry pie, purple flowers, corn meal, tobacco leaf, and crushed rock. Spicy, witch hazel, and plenty of grip on the palate. Really delicious vintage! — 10 years ago
Perfect for rounding out a summer weekend! — 11 years ago
One of my favorite, "reasonable" tawnys. Great witch cheese & fruit or to sip after dinner. — 12 years ago
With all the smack and throw down about the recent Texas HB1514 witch hunt, I'm not sure I should admit to heavily armed Texans that I really enjoyed this wine. This wine took about 45 minutes to express. Poured a dark purple into the glass with nose of nitrogen, cola, mint. On the palate, good acidity and supple mouthfeel. The middle of the wine showed an earthy mushroom and young, black fruit. Finishes lighter actually with a floral perfume. Tannic, even after 2 hours. Less than the 2012 though, which is VERY locked up. Great density to this wine. Tasted the 2012 in the winery but bought more of this one. Labeled appropriately as a St Emilion Grand Cru and sold at a Fredericksburg winery. Truthful about origins -- nothing wrong with that!! This one is good to go now but better in a few more years. — 8 years ago
