Vintage 2008 | Restaurant Hohenzollern in Bad Neuenahr lies beautiful on a vineyard mountain overlooking the village; it does have a enchanting wine list with 22 pages covering Germany, but also 16 pages rest of the world. There are ripened wines from many regions. A 16 y old Zind Humbrecht Riesling is an opportunity not to miss. Gold coloured, fine smell with some almonds, a lot of minerals and enormous amount of butter and butterscotch. Wel balanced wine with tension. Paired with sea bass and curry shrimps. — 10 months ago

Love this! — 5 years ago
Excellent Riesling. I was told the mountains on both sides keep the clouds away and lead to almost uninterrupted sunlight shining down on the grapes. — 6 years ago

Beautiful on the nose & palate -white flowers, stone fruit, crushed stone - awesome — 11 years ago
Deep gold in color. Apricot cobbler, ginger, ripe peach, and petrol on the nose. The palate presents apricot liquor, flint, orange liqueur, white pepper, ginger, cinnamon, clove, dried stone fruit, and lemon. Medium bodied, medium alcohol, medium acid, and a long complex finish. This wine is at its prime at 13 years old. A fascinating wine. — 9 months ago
A very different and distinct nose... some sauternes aromas along with honey and spring flowers. A rich body with a slight honey sweetness. Alsatian Adventure private tasting. — 3 years ago
Unique barnyardy aroma. Hibiscus. Super drinkable; especially in the humidity. Almost like a wild ale. Can’t wait to pick up another bottle. — 4 years ago
Very aromatic Riesling from Alsace. Melon, white flowers, orange peel, even hint of ginger on those nose. Beautiful deep yellow, almost gold color. Mouth watering acidity with a persistent finish — 5 years ago
Extremely powerful after 13 years — 8 years ago
Marmalade colored from 375ml. An acquired taste, this has clarity a good level of sweetness and balance. Not sure if I love the flavor overall though... Sort of tokaji-ish. But a quality wine for sure — 9 years ago

Thought we had the last bottle a year ago but realized we had one more. Really very nice - a sort of time capsule wine, taking you back nearly two decades with the depth of amber color and honeyed flavor. So well balanced, with the secondary round fruit giving way to nice acids (more than I recall on the bottle a year ago). Fun one for sure. — 7 months ago
