I have opened tonight the 2012 Saarloos & Sons Family Tree, a blend of 40% Grenace Noir, 30% Stray and 30% Mourvedre. Keith Saarloos and family do a wonderful job in making their wines.
On the nose there is blackberry, black cherry, strawberry, plum, vanilla, pepper, floral notes of violet, gravel and sweet oak.
Th palate reveals notes of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, strawberry, licorice, vanilla, chocolate, white pepper and oak.
This wine has a full soft mouth feel with medium acidity, medium smooth tannins that lead to a medium long finish. An enjoyable wine to have alone or with others. Have a great week this week and please be healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 8 years ago
The more restrained wine from this producer. Has a touch more length and intensity than the Romulus. — 9 years ago
