Always a stunner. Quince and pineapple backed by sweet lemony citrus merge with spicy arugula and turnip purée. Botrytis is present, ginger-spicy but not over the top. Very dialed in on the ripeness, enough to give it a regal quality, but not overwhelmingly corpulent. Long finish driven by lingering pleasant bitterness and tangy acid. Crazy value in these wines. Similar quality producer and vineyard in burgundy would cost you 2-3x. — 11 years ago
