Really great drinking wine. Would be good with good but wouldn’t completely stand up to bigger reds. — 7 years ago
Love the eastside and Westside. Always great balance and flavor. It Doesn’t need to be vineyard designated to be a good Pinot. — 7 years ago
Probably one of the better Chards from Gary Farrell. Buttah factor = 6.5. This wine has lots of honeysuckle on the nose. Getting some butter, but not as much as the palate would indicate. This wine is big on the front. Glycerine and butter initially but goes to honey and melon and a little mango. There was a semi tart to the back. Wine finishes a bit short and much more crisp than the front. Overall a very enjoyable chard. — 8 years ago
Veeerry friendly Shiraz at this price. Cherry up front, red apple tobacco, good structure and a frenchman's even hand taming those tannins. — 8 years ago
Birthdsy dinner with family! — 9 years ago

A lovely smooth light Tempranillo. Blackberry spicey smooth. — 11 years ago
Oreno, takes its name from the river crossing the estate where the farmhouse is found. Blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cab Sauv & 10% Petit Verdot, aged 18 mos in new French oak. Went to a tasting, had ‘14 & ‘15 side by side. Big ripe berry fruit aromas with sweet spice notes. On the palate rich blackberry & cherry flavors with cacao, tobacco, oak & flinty tones. Firm big tannins needing time showing great aging potential, lingering ending with succulent earthy mineral character. ‘15 much better. Tasting Sample! — 7 years ago
2015 vintage. Red blend of 25% Syrah, 25% Zinfandel, 34% Carignan, 8% Grenache and 8% petit Verdot. Deep ruby color. On the nose, blueberry, vanilla and currants. Smells like creme brûlée. On the palate, very light with hints of blueberry, blackberry, vanilla and oak. A very nice blend. — 7 years ago
Beautiful cherry nose. Cherry and spice on the palate with moderate plus acid kicking in early and staying late. This is a well balanced and smooth Pinot perfectly aged. — 8 years ago
Suprised by how much I liked it. Excellent. — 8 years ago
12' Pharaohomans Paso Robles Westside .We needed a little spice in our life. Pizza, wine & a SKINS win! The first two ,check those boxes… football gods?
This is a small 3 acre estate in Paso Robles. The 2012 is 98% Syrah 2% Grenache.
A friend of mine turned me onto this wine last year. Loved the wine… although we both thought it needed a bit of time . It still does! I've decanted this now for 3+ hours. Should've decanted it into a lemonade container🤔
The color in the decanter, looks almost black. In the glass purplish (shitty color description). Boysenberry, black chocolate ,black licorice, spicy, Hershey's chocolate syrup🎯. Snap into a Slim Jim- The whole kit & caboodle. I would let them rest another year or 5 😳. This is a heavyweight contender wine. BIG BOY Syrah.
Parker gave the 12' 95pts. He gave the 13' 97pts. He loves these high alcohol, destroy your palate , in your face wines. AGAIN- Just my opinion. — 9 years ago
There's some serious yum going on in this bottle!
Dark fruit, a little bite and then smoooooth as it goes down... — 9 years ago
Fair to say the jury is still out on whether Shiraz works in the northern part of Margaret River but this is very good. Plummy with a hint of butterscotch (oak) and touch of black pepper. Medium bodied - fleshy with softening tannins. Short term cellaring. Very satisfying. — 9 years ago
Very nice Syrah driven by blue fruits with a nice plush mouthfeel. Thanks @Andrew Steffensmeier ! — 10 years ago
As purple as wine gets. Really good , I would buy this again — 12 years ago
Good after it breathes. $1.59 on sale at Ralph’s. Smooth light taste — 7 years ago
Oh dang I love Dutcher. Take all your dried cherries, raisins and blueberries and stuff them in an oak vat. Then soak into the acid and alcohol. Tannins medium. It is like...I dunno I don’t have a metaphor for this wine except it is a wine to give a hug. As Greg Condes says Zin is the group hug of wine! — 7 years ago
2016 Sauvignon Blanchard is fruit forward and very drinkable. — 8 years ago
Ever so delightful. I'd eat with anything with a berry sauce. It is so rich, so balanced between tannin, acid and residual sugar that you get lost. Like every other Dutcher Crossing I've tasted it is a beaut. More on ye silly blog. Zin forever? I say so. — 8 years ago
Dark black fruits with lovely dry feel big bold and delicious — 8 years ago
