Nice way to honor Germany's World Cup victory. Extremely complex and joyfully full of contrariness; it's dry yet rich, delicate yet powerful. Lemons and sulphur, ending with grapefruit. Probably at peak maturity now, but I wish I had a few more bottles in the cellar to see how (or if) it evolves further. — 10 years ago
Expressive nose, showcasing honeyed pineapples, vanilla and exotic spice notes, beautifully flowing to an expansive palate where acidity is maintained and the purity of fruit lovely. Sadly it's short and abruptly cut off, but still - considering the vintage- well done. — 9 years ago

Very aromatic on the nose. Funk on the palette. — 9 years ago
Totally didn't put this in Germany in blind tasting, seemed much riper. — 9 years ago
Sweet with high intensity. Honey. Mango. Pineapple. Slightly toasty and mineral. Long finish. Very good quality! — 9 years ago
Almost dry and completely delicious — 10 years ago

Unreal fruit and depth. Color and residues sugar indicate to me this was likely a declassified auslese. The fruit and minerality went on and on. I fully expect this wine will go another ten to fifteen years at least. — 8 years ago
