With >200 yrs of family history in Rheingau, this producer naturally grows mostly Riesling, but this PN is stunning. Medium-deep ruby brick color; nose of red and blue small ripe fruits, pronounced spiciness, and new oak but in amounts best described by the Swedish word ”lagom” (just enough); low alcohol but with a respectable structure from acids and small tannins, mouthfilling and a long finish where violets, mint, strawberries, and herbs linger. — 3 years ago
— 5 years ago
More like a Spatlese Feinherb. Gorgeous nose. Spice and mineral. So floral. Gorgeous. Winsome. Smells like a dry wine. Palate is dense with some epic acidity that thunders on the mineral tinged finish. This is epic but needs 5 years. What a finish and what acidity. — 6 years ago

Wow. Great wine. Very distinctive. Definitely nahe but very particular and wonderful. The aromatics assault the nose with minerals and acid. The palate has moderate nahe tropical fruit. Not too tropical which I liked. A bit blast of minerals and acid. Remarkably fresh. Bought from Fass Selections. — 7 years ago

Great wine, for a fair price and in the 2018,which was quit warm, this is rather fresh en crispy. Very drinkable. — 5 years ago
If I’ve found a sweet spot it’s definitely value Kabinett Riesling - $15-$25. Show me another white grape this consistent and with complexity in this price range. Much thanks is owed to Terry Thiese and the Skurnick team for making wines available from producers like Jakob Schneider, Carl Loewen, Muelenhoff, Selbach-Oster, and Muller-Catoir. Each have a modestly priced Kabinett showing plenty of acid and explosive smokey citrus fruit. This week’s was Jakob Schneider - just off dry with flinty, flowery, ginger notes. Great for pre-dinner snacking. — 6 years ago
