Second time trying St. Laurent as a grape. Mostly unique to Austria - had a good one on the plane ride over as well. Deep red in the glass. Gives some nice red fruit but also a bit more oak than I’d prefer on the nose. But with some air that somewhat blows off. Nice and medium bodied with good acid, minerality, and spice on the finish. — 5 years ago

Well balanced. Semi dry. Very floral. Like rose water. Holy rose water. Bought this at the ranch winery. Like sitting in your German grandmothers living room. — 8 years ago
Sweet Gewurtz, almost too sweet. Smooth easy drinking with that mossy slightly green taste that says Gewurtz to me. Yummy but not my fav — 9 years ago

Initially, bubbly on the tongue, then settles into a mild fruity creaminess that finishes with a kick of acidity/dryness. A really nice drink! — 5 years ago
Austrian Pinot - reminded me of Baden Pinot. Great stuff — 6 years ago
This wine has enjoyed a wonderful evolution. Smoky, dense and less primary now. An awesome grape, hugely underrated. When done right, naturally, brilliant. — 7 years ago

It's not so much that my mind is "blown", it's more about being one of those wines that simultaneously bring me great pleasure and immense intrigue. "How can this be?" "What makes this happen?@ — 9 years ago
