It ain't even out yet! Thanks @Jake Watson for the preview bottle- it showed very well with the halibut en pappiot that Cinnamon made. Big time porcini aromas in this fully mature, bronze 15 year on the lees bottle. — 8 years ago
First, when I'm drinking at home, I am always going to choose "dumpster next to 6629" as my location. Second, pretty good with some good spice. I am going to save some for Sunday and see if a couple of days makes it even better. Thanks for that tip Paul Watson. — 9 years ago

Perfect on a Saturday with friends even if cable is all messed up @Jake Watson thank you! — 9 years ago
Hells yeah - the ying to the Watson ranch's yang. Both elegant examples of CA Chardonnay. — 10 years ago
Won't see this again. Miss ya Standish! — 11 years ago
Deep Crimson. Aromas of Cedar, Bay Leaf and dried Herbs. A totally balanced and seamless claret - very good for Woodlands 2nd ranked Cuvée but not as long lived as I thought it would be when first tasted 5 years ago. Hats off to Stuart and Andrew Watson - a very Good Cabernet Blend with great QPR. Tasted again 272 weeks later on 24th June 2022. From the excellent 2009 vintage. Andrew Watson said to drink the 2010 before the 2009 which was the better vintage. All the Cab descriptors including bay leaf, blackberry and Margaret River herbaceous notes. Great QPR. Had the last 2009 Margaret on 11th April 2024. Certainly needed to be drunk at 15 years of age. A little tired and descending off the plateau. Still good for a 2nd wine. 90 points. — 7 years ago
@Patty Grimm you would love this. — 8 years ago
A plush delicious Pinot in the cult Tassie area of d'Entrecasteaux peninsula for Pinot near Home Hill who won the2015 Jimmy Watson trophy. Cherry nuances. A crowd pleaser. — 9 years ago
What better way to press 2015 Watson Ranch Chardonnay at Arnot-Roberts then to smash a magnum of Moreau-Naudet!? — 9 years ago
A really attractive, beautifully balanced, smooth and seamless wine. Jimmy Watson trophy winner from a vintage where none of the Bests flagship wines where made leaving the Bin 1 as the beneficiary of all of the old vine fruit. — 9 years ago
Little surprised by the oak, threw me off a bit , love the Watson ranch chard, but I can deal with a bit off vanilla and lemon curd — 9 years ago
The previous vintage won best Pinot at the Melb wine show RNA. Should have won the Jimmy Watson won by another Pinot. Fresh bright fruit nose - cherries, some pepper/spices, rose perfume. Medium weight, silky. Delicious. 17.5+. — 10 years ago
Drank with Jeff Watson while watching Hook. Awkward roommate night with Matt & Stephanie. — 11 years ago
Carmel Valley (Central Coast) has been a favorite destination for my wine adventures. Joullian has been a staple there for 25 years--winemaker Ridge Watson included. Their 2007 (silver at the SF wine comp) lacked that cab kick. — 11 years ago
So fresh and delicious from their Watson Vineyard In Napa. A fantastic new world Chardonnay that seems too good to be true for the price! With my mother — 7 years ago
The Jimmy Watson Trophy is awarded to the best one year old Dry Red at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show and is highly sought after, guaranteeing an immediate sell out. To complicate matters only 250 cases of this wine were made and this wine won the 2011 JW Trophy. I managed to buy 2 bottles and this is my first and it is superb. Made by SA Shiraz Royalty in Nick Glaetzer from Tasmanian cool climate Shiraz. Aromas of Pepper, Egyptian spices, Incense. On the medium bodied palate spicy red fruits and more white pepper finishing with soft supple fine tannins. An absolutely lovely Northern Rhone style. Would defy anyone to pick this blind as an Australian Shiraz. — 7 years ago
Medium body, very nice combination with cheese! Recommended by the Watson wine guy @ the great eat hall — 8 years ago
This years Jimmy Watson winner. Absolutely sensational. Deep rich new world Pinot. Love it! — 8 years ago
Surprising, the Pinot Noir from this region is unique, spicy and well balanced. I like it I would buy more — 9 years ago

Notes of Liquorice and white pepper. Medium weight at best but this is a wine style I enjoy. Similar to Bests 2011 Bin 1 which won the Jimmy Watson trophy. Langhi Ghiran and Clonakilla supercede the St Joseph in the same genre. 17.5. — 9 years ago
Maple syrup, marzipan, coconut sugar, white plum, cherry tobacco — 9 years ago
Solid core of acidity surrounded by lemon-honey flavors. More flesh than extreme south Napa Chards a la Watson Ranch (as one would expect). Lovely wine. — 10 years ago
