Stands out with its finish. Fruit forward nose that tails into lingering notes. — 9 years ago

Bright sharp cherry with a bit of earth. Nicely lean, not jammy. Hides its 14.8% abv. Could stand with a good Sonoma Coast or richer Willamette Valley. I'd say yes. — 9 years ago
A staple wine for us. Consistent and always good. — 10 years ago
As you see the cork is perfect. I've had this in my cellar for years and decided it was time. At first he nose had a cork smell but now after being open for 4 hours it's a different wine. Pear, apricot, nectarine, and good acid. Not like I'm ever going to have anymore of this so #fugetaboutit — 10 years ago

A fine wine; go slow to the last drop...about 2 hrs. — 8 years ago
A well off friend did bring this one to our Friday tasting at the wine store ---- and yesterday I first liked it and then was unimpressed??? Just a bunch of acid and little fruit behind it so my bet was this will not make it. Michele I think she is a sommelier agreed. So this morning I am sitting here in the sun and give it a second shot after air for 15 hours (that should do it 😁). AND? I was wrong! Red currant nose very Burgundian 12.8%. In a blind tasting I would think this is a Gevrey Chambertin. Tealeaves, forest floor, dirt, cloves, all spice, dark berries and just a super tiny hint at California fruit very impressive! So the problem is how long do you need to give this air 30 min or 15 hours oh boy 👍🍷🍷🍷. — 10 years ago
