1hr+ decant. Loved this! Dark red color with a high quality nose and finish. Tough to describe but it’s what you expected to smell and taste in a higher end Bordeaux. I sensed some Italian influence as the tannins were prominent. Paired nicely with ham and sweet potatoes. Merry Christmas!! — 6 months ago

A lovely red wine for our evening! — 6 years ago
Light purple. Light body. Powerful, intense flavor. Old World style, dry and spicy not sweet and fruity. This is a splendid wine, from Vieux Lazaret (the grounds of the "old hospital") bottled by the Quito family who have been vineyard owners for three centuries in this area. — 7 years ago
A classic white rhone blend from BC! elderberry nose and a sharp finish. a touch of peach. Viognier clearly dominates. Quite a lot of minerality but off-dry. — 8 years ago
Light. Fairly smooth. You can taste the terroir in this as well. — 8 years ago
Good vibrancy, bright cherry, raspberry notes. Tobacco, spice, good fruit, sweet spice. Oaky, cedar. But not overtly alcoholic. Good style — 9 years ago
My current Trader Joe $6 favorite. Amazing for $6 and I don't care if I open it for just one glass — 10 years ago
Excellent, smooth, rich ; initially sharp, mellowed after several hours open; 2020 vintage — 5 months ago
Super tasty Bordeaux (Coop especially loved it) - Smoke, slate, cassis, dried cherries. Alcohol forward but smoothed out quickly once decanted. Enjoyed with pasta and White Christmas — 6 months ago
Great storage on this one. Perfect match for a Wagyu Filet Mignon K&L notes as follows Perfect drinking 29 year old Bordeaux for about $1 per year! I love their 2004, but this wine is even better. 1995 was great Merlot year in Bordeaux and the grape shines through here. Sweet and fresh on the palate. The nose has some bottle Bouquet and touch of blueberry aromas. It is still lush on the palate. An old Bill Blatch find in the 80s. And it will cellar some more years with out a problem. Buy it by the case and enjoy with a short rib or lamb dish.

Lurid magenta. Expansive aromas of mineral-tinged red berries, incense and cola, joined by a suave floral nuance as the wine opens up. Appealingly sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy raspberry, cherry, spicecake and candied licorice flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes smooth and long, with gentle tannins and lingering floral pastille and star anise notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2019)

Another perfectly balanced wine of the great 2005 vintage — 8 years ago
Drank this entirely too young. Big restrained fruit with a nice tannin/acid balance, not hot or messy at all. Check in again in 5 years, would not be surprised to see this go a total of 15-20 years. — 9 years ago
Drank it after my college graduation, best Zinfandel I've ever had — 9 years ago
