A rich cinnamon tar jumps out of the glass, like a heavily spiced hard-crack toffee. There are warm notes of golden raisins, rum cake, and cream cheese icing, with a slight balsa wood and golden leaf tobacco, both of which come to the forefront on the palate. Really great sparkler. Tons of acid and some tropical fruit, citrus, tart green apples really shine, but just enough body to give it some balance. This is clearly all about the acidity though. I could see how some would not enjoy that part of this wine. — 4 years ago
