Luminous, pale straw-green. Wonderfully vibrant, perfumed nose combines pear, green apple, Meyer lemon, ginger, lemon verbena and a steely, iodiney quality. Densely packed, tight and young, with a terrific core of citrus, powdered stone and orchard fruit flavor of uncommon purity. Already seamless but still youthfully imploded, this really coats the palate with its concentrated flavors on the horizontal, extremely long finish. This is so complex and rich it actually tastes as if a portion of the grapes had been hit by noble rot. Clocks in at 14% alcohol but you can hardly tell. Along with Terlano’s Vorberg, Nalles and Magré’s Sirmian and the Pinot Bianco by Doro Princic, this is Italy’s best Pinot Bianco wine. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, May 2018) — 7 years ago
Fuck yes! This is so delicious. Nose is dripping with sweet grapefruit, key lime, mango skin, peach, creme brûlée, lees, toast and citrus blossoms. Palate is very complex. Juicy ripe citrus, stone, and tropical fruit up front, moving to crushed rocks, verbena, seamless oak. There's considerable grip, phenolic character and loads of extract. The mid-palate weight and length are insane. Lots of ripping acid driving the wine. Reminds me of Dagueneau but with more flare and opulence. — 8 years ago
As always this wine kicks ass. This bottle showed more striking herbal character. Lemon balm, verbena, spring flowers, jalapeño, grapefruit zest. Great mineral notes. Has lost a little freshness than the last bottle. Still has great precision and weight behind it 50/50 stainless/barrel. — 9 years ago
Tight and rough on opening. Much better on day two. I wish I had saved more. Margarita mix, lemon verbena, hint of some sweet fruit, and lots of acid. A bit linear. — 9 years ago
Pristine fruit, racy acidity, and briny minerality. Lemon verbena, yellow peaches, and a distinct creaminess. Stunning. — 10 years ago
Dark color that is reflected in the nose and on the palate. The aromas of dried lemon and lemon sourdough predominate, but there is also a snippet of lemon verbena and jackfruit, dried apricots, pumpkin, dried mango, dried papaya and a Flemish red beer streak! The lemon and beer notes are evocative of a brew room after cleanup, but a honey note in a spring grove plants you firmly outside. Plenty of sunshine here, and tangerines in a basket with fresh bread. Medium to heavy mouthfeel, and blood orange, grapefruit, lemon drops, grapefruit pith, limestone and a dried grass and chalky lemon pith finish that is exemplary. A writhing, evolving spectacle that boasts the intermittent Apple cider vinegar whisper without offense. Tannins abound, along with lemoncello custard. — 10 years ago
Lemon, verbena, green apple, petrol and grapefruit. — 7 years ago
Tremendous depth, laced with golden tree fruits, intense fruit balanced by complex and heady savory notes; verbena, aloe, cool herbs and white flower petals, wax and white tea. Edgy and coiled acidity at play here, WOTN for me — 7 years ago
A crisp, bright, smoky nose leads to lemon verbena and white flower aromas. Beautifully crisp and bright on the palate with lots of zest. Energetic flavors of lemon and lime zest lead to fresh, crisp acidity and a touch of volcanic minerality. The finish is long and clean with bright, lingering acidity and a touch of saltiness. Wonderful and in a perfect place after three years. — 8 years ago
Herbal nose with violets, chocolate. Pretty smooth. Chalky violet texture. Fruit - present but not screaming for attention. Some coarse tart cherry does appear. Violet in the finish. — 9 years ago
Crushed rocks, snow, white leaches, peach skin, lime zest, verbena, lime blossom, slight kiss of barrel influence, slight nuttiness coupled with some leesy notes. A touch plush on the attack but racy mineral driven finish follows. Crumbly/spritzy texture. Great value. — 9 years ago
Super solid Chardonnay. Only $35 and worth every penny. Crystalline yellow with a lime green tinge. Slightly hazy. Great nose of orange rind, lemon zest, essential oil, verbena, and creme brulee. Framed by subtle oak. Almost reminds me kistler Durrell — 9 years ago
Fantastic wine! Pineapple and tangerine, chives, haricot verts, spritzy citrus, lemon verbena. The palate is plump, with lemon, grapefruit pith, chalky pomelo, lemongrass, grapefruit soda, briny lime. Huge acidic backbone to support really big fruit! Remember this as sweeter, but not tonight! — 9 years ago
Bright, creamy nose full of peach, white flowers and citrus with almost a hint of smoke. Warm full butter, oak and smoky notes on the palate lead to big acidity and stony minerality with just a touch lemon verbena. The finish is lingering and clean. — 10 years ago
Weird and very personal but positively restraint aromas and flavors of verbena, grapefruit, soft spices and candied peaches. Naked finish where its natural elevage becomes obvious. Feels older than it is (2011 vintage), but I'm still intrigued to revisit this one in another few years. — 10 years ago
Wildly intoxicating notes of verbena, magnolias and stone fruit. This is awesome. — 7 years ago
Classic semillon nose, without the residual sugar. Apricot and apple follow. A very unique orange wine inspiringly paired with a foie gras, apricot, verbena and pistachio starter — 7 years ago
The nose is fresh and youthful with lemon peel, green apple, blood orange with a herbal tinged, mineral accent. Really develops with air and gets fresher and more mineral with lime zest, lemon verbena and green apple flavors. Super focused finish. Juicy, vibrant mineral citrus fruit finish., This should continue add complexity and weight. — 7 years ago
Albeit too young, this is the most enjoyable SB I've had to date. Grapefruit, orange curd, quince, green pineapple, saline, smoke, white flowers, wet stones, pleasant herbaceous note like verbena/mint. The texture is insane for SB with great mid-palate presence and a leesy richness. The finish is super lengthy with some wood notes showing up. The whole wine is richly ethereal while having amazing energy and acid. Day 2 absolutely singing, high volume. — 8 years ago
Brine, like licking the back of a wet oyster shell, racy & beaming with lemon verbena, tangelo & underripe white peach skin. Dom. de la Pépiète 'Clos des Briords' Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, a gem! #certifiablydelish — 9 years ago
White flowers, verbena, and Yuzu. Very energetic, dry and quenchy. — 9 years ago
Absolutely the epitome of Brunello. Buy this wine, now. 2009 vintage. — 10 years ago
Almost equal blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Roussanne. Silky smooth white peach floral and light mineralogy. Verbena chamomile brisk-edged finish. Not big but pretty long and pure. Could stand some more time in the cellar — 10 years ago

The more I have of this Cuvée, the more I like it.
The nose reveals; lemon parfait, lemon meringue, golden apple with green apple that layers underneath it, grapefruit, fresh pineapple, honeysuckle, marzipan, cream, toast, caramel, hints of ginger, sea shells, verbena, soft chalkiness, yellow lilies, fruit blossoms and spring flowers.
The body is soft, rich, creamy mousse and lively in the mouth. The palate is lemon sorbet, lime zest, honeysuckle, pineapple, verbena, golden apple, some green apple, caramel, light spice that brings some palate heat, toast, hints of ginger, marzipan, silvered almond, brioche, beautiful nice chalkiness, sea spray, grey volcanic minerals that penetrate into your palate, yellow lilies, fruit blossoms and spring flowers. The acidy is very nice...well executed, the long, rich, balanced finish is quite enjoyable and persists on the palate for minutes.
