A blend of 80% Corvina and 20% Rondinella, produced from a single vineyard of 5 hectares located in the prestigious Illasi Valley, aged for 3 years in oak. Aromas of ripe berry fruits, savory spice and oak. On the palate sweet ripe plum, cherry raisians and Italian fig with cedar, cacao and vanilla. Soft fine tannins well balanced, lingering finish ending with energy. — 8 years ago
Great example of a classic Pinot Grigio — 10 years ago
Dinner wine at Valeria. Outstanding — 10 years ago
2005. Runner up in recent Amarone taste off and my favorite in the bunch. Excellent, dark and brooding without much of the overripe raisin tastes that I find challenging with these wines. — 11 years ago
2014 vintage - quite a nice surprise: wonderful color, rich scents of hawthorn and elderflower, vanilla and spices in the mouth. — 11 years ago

Fruity, acidic, not earthy — 11 years ago
New favorite dessert wine! Was always a muscato (NOT d'asti) or vin santo fan. This one though... With some dark chocolate, totally takes the cake! Not overly sweet- couldn't be called dry for anything, but certainly one of the dryer dessert wines out there. Have it with chocolate. If you ever pay attention to anything I've written, listen to that: have it with chocolate! — 11 years ago
Espumoso con un ligero toque seco — 11 years ago

Such a huge Sangiovese - I doubt anyone could pick it out blind. Mostly this drinks like a big new world Cabernet, so impressive. One of only 9 available in the US at the time - thanks WD!!! (Yes, pic is of a 2012) — 8 years ago
