Fantastic Rhone Valley wine. Notes of dark jammy plum, cedar and clove spice on the nose, with strawberry-rubarb, raspberry sorbet, pomegranate, and light minerally feel, medium plus body, high acidity, and a nice and smooth finish. 2008 Clos Liebenberg. Alsatian wines don't get enough respect. Delicious but a bit out of tune. Wish the finish on this was a bit longer. I think the typically high 2008 acid is interfering a bit. — 10 years ago
