Wow, lots to like here! Complex flavor arc. Honeyed mineral aroma, baked apple, citrus peel, saline and herbal on a very long finish. Really layered. Full, dark yellow, bordering on orange wine, dry throughout, and a touch bitter. Probably some skin contact, but not sure. Perfect for coming Fall dishes, so I’ll save my other bottles.

Follow up: it degrades significantly on day 2, even after pumping the air out.

Greco di Tufo Tornante 2014

Aromatic with hints of cellar. Olaszriesling comes to mind. On the palate it is fairly fruity but with some wood tones. Acidity is good. — 7 years ago

Beneventano IGT Falanghina 2018

Medium yellow with some greenish reflections. The nose is rich with an intense mix of apple, pineapple, and citrus. Fresh and clean with lime, green apple and a crushed stone minerality that adds depth. The medium length finish is clean and resonating with notes of pear, white pepper and honeysuckle. — 3 years ago
