Lightly fizzante, orange blossom and green apple. A light delicate but flavorful wine that reminds me of summer picnics. — 7 years ago
Best we tasted at Sattui. Good bold flavor, good finish. Some pepper, some blackberry. — 8 years ago

Almond extract and honey on the nose. In the mouth the honey shines with orange marmalade and a hint of bourbon. This dessert wine matched well with cherry clafoutis. — 9 years ago

The 1945 La Mission Haut-Brion from the château cellar is transcendental. It is blessed with the most beautiful bouquet you can imagine, effortless and natural, featuring woodland, red-berried fruits, a minerally quality and a faint touch of leafiness; given time to settle, it develops a lovely gamy note. The palate is medium- rather than full-bodied and sublimely balanced, upholding that effortless grace with an elegant, bittersweet, dried orange peel finish. One of the most harmonious wines I have ever consumed. Perfect. Tasted at the La Mission Haut-Brion vertical in London in September 2009. (Neal Martin, Vinous, May 2020)

V13. Very good today, great tomorrow! Very nice cedar bouquet, deep blackberry and plum fruit with a spicy and very slight green pepper finish . Wine is really good today , but there is a slight "newness" that will eventually round out. Enjoyable dinner wine. — 11 years ago

Loved it. Delish. Complex and well balanced. Fruity presence without really being forward. Full flavor and wonderfully lingering. Imminently drinkable. Drank the 2012 in 2016. — 9 years ago
Blueberry and spice bouquet. Rich and smooth palate. A great wine for a special occasion. Happy anniversary to us! Thanks Molly! — 9 years ago
When compared side by side with Liparita's less expensive Rutherford Cab release, V Block can be likened to a parent's favorite offspring. Although both wines may share similar genetic material and upbringing, V Block has gained more dimension and self confidence through increased care and attention from infancy. #ridiculous :p — 11 years ago
Little slow to open, and then good drinking, full bodied, had this with a rib eye and spaghetti bolognese, good fit as its big in flavour — 12 years ago
