Fruity and full bodied. Puglia. Summer 2020 — 5 years ago
Very close to my idea of a desert island wine. At 13% it has more smooth edges but that lovely thread of acidity common to its more expensive & jagged Vallana cousins. Dark red fruits, violets, tree bark. Juicy too, the tannins are pretty integrated. Skurnik importer. — 5 years ago
Delicioso. Pleno de sabor a fruta madura — 6 years ago
Nero di troia blended with local varietals.
Distinct, yet difficult-to- describe taste. Sour cherries, medium tannins, medium body, not dry. The finish is moderate.
Clean, balanced, good overall red. — 6 years ago
Alto Piemonte meets Loire. Crispy and herby and fruity. — 8 years ago

One of my favorite sweet wines. Cheap, running $9.80 at any Military Class Six, it has a slightly lower alcohol content at about 7.8%. It is partly carbonated — 11 years ago
A bit of funk, ligh bodied, but more depth than just juice. A good freshness, and energetic. Lovely — 4 years ago

2007 Bottaccia Torre Quarto Uva di Troia (Puglia). alcohol on nose. Sour cherry. Vanilla. Cigar smoke. Black pepper. Old world flavors. Weighty wine. — 9 years ago
Focuses nose of sweet strawberry, cinamon, cocoa, spice, cherry and spearmint. Beautifully delicate and nuanced with less fruit and more savory notes of spice, decaying leaf, and big spearmint notes. Awesome with lamb! — 10 years ago
Yay! Oddball Piedmont! — 11 years ago
Deep red, full of fruity flavor and a hint of bubbles. Love it!!!! — 12 years ago

Pretty solid rustic Nero di Troia. Probably the best of my 4-5 samples of this grape. 3 bicchieri is a stretch but it’s not like the Gambero Rosso guys don’t make worse calls. — 4 years ago
