Hell yes you can taste the cold weather in this Cali juice. Very rare to truly experience the concentration of these Santa Barbara syrahs with a sense of any less than the beating sun. This is opposite. I taste elevation and wind. Dark fruit with absent attack. Interesting. Still lacking the complexity and any sign of minerals in that of rhone Syrah though. Yellow gold, nice weight. Offers a nose that is textbook Raveneau Chablis. Sea shells, lemon, wet river stone, some honey and a little cardamom spice. Fruit forward. Fruit builds with air. Impactful finish. Lucious. More fruit than acidity. While great tonight this is still on the upslope. — 6 years ago
