Slamming! Perfect vintage for this wine. Jean-Marc is my hero. — 9 years ago
100% Nebbiolo grape and beautifully balanced. Medium body with full of flavours of Tuscany. For the price of Nebbiolo this is excellent unsung wine. — 9 years ago
My favorite producer who makes awesome wines from unsung vineyards in Burgundy. Perfumed nose roses/cranberry juice blend. Much heavier then the Nuits Saint George. Dark berries such as blackberries tannic now but will mellow out. A great wine buy it if you can find it! Online at Amitie wines. Premier Cru level! — 10 years ago
This unsung Grenache is smooth and velvety, don't singe your hairs! Enjoy it a few times. — 10 years ago

Still an adolescent. These wines are the unsung heroes of the Schroeter/Groom-era at Geyser Peak. What a gem. — 8 years ago
Experimenting with Islay, love the peat, especially as this one mellowed with the sherry cask. Bought it because Trevanian's hero in his book Eiger Sanction drank a lot of it and a skit have club member in Dawson, Yukon did so as well. — 9 years ago
New favorite Malbec! 💕 — 10 years ago
Michel Niellon has long been a rather unsung hero in Burgundy and this '93 Batard was proof of that--so fresh and perfectly focused that it stands along side the likes of Leflaive et al--GLORIOUS! — 10 years ago

The unsung wines of Bordeaux go deep. This 21 year old had so much refreshing cut and sweet black fruit to give! A 750 of claret like this is far too small, especially at 12.5% alcohol. #steakandclaretnight — 8 years ago
Whow, Rich, opulent and deep. Great wine, strawberry hero, but fruit is greatfully balanced by soft tannins & medium acidity, remarkable light but powerful like a Goliath, great Priorat. Nectar that will soothe your soul with spicy devil finish. Cheers

Another grape I don't know much about (Pallagrello Nero). The wine is a lot racier and loud than I was expecting (especially given it was retailing for less than 20 usd). But the flavors seem more floral/rose-petaly/spicy/clovey rather than fruity/chocolate/vanilla. Lot of tannin. I chose the wrong dinner to make. This wine is going to curb stomp my pasta. Terrific wine though! — 10 years ago
Pull the cork, and release the ancient power that melts the evil and leaves the hero. Just don't open your eyes. — 10 years ago
#1 of unsung heroes. — 11 years ago
Joe Davis is Demi-god. One of the greatest yet unsung heroes of American wine. This is one of the greatest American Chardonnays ever made, yes I said that, I dare you to put it against ANY American Chardonnay. — 11 years ago
