The nose is abundant strawberry framed by French oak. Decanted 90 minutes & temperature cooled to 58F....the room temperature for a castle😉The flavours are balanced from front to back evolve as follows: cherry, red currant, black olive, graphite and lengthy green pepper finish. It’s colour is translucent Crayola purple with medium liquid weight and the tannic grip pairs well with the richness of CAB Ribeye, rustic garlic mash and any well buttered green veggie of choice.

Seriously delicious. The most memorable cab franc I have had. — 6 years ago
Floral fragrance with a palate that's reminiscent of a viognier with lots of white stone fruit (white peach/Asian pear), a juicy acidity up front that's soothed out with wet rock minerality. Overall a wonderful and interesting white from North of the border — 6 years ago
Still really good after all these years. — 7 years ago
Floral and slightly off dry, but well balanced. Not cloying. A great match for bacon-wrapped cherries 👌

The 2006 Rusty Shed Chardonnay is a blend of four blocks of Chardonnay on the Flat Rock Property. Grapes are hand picked and hand sorted before whole bunch pressing takes place. It was then cold settled in stainless steel, 100% barrel fermented and left on the lees for 10 months. Wild and commercial yeasts were used for primary fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation to soften the natural acidity. The result?
Beautiful example of a mid to full bodied Chardonnay with butter, vanilla, apples and light spice on the palate. A lot of flavour and elegance at this price point. Sampled this 2006 in 2017 but this should sit well and perhaps develop more for a few more years. Best part? It's from Niagara! Loved it!

Wow!! Very surprisingly good. Light, juicy, fruity, strawberry. Definitely didn’t think this kind of Pinot existed in Ontario. — 6 years ago
Nice, smooth, easy drinking wine to have with dinner. Medium bodied, fruity, but not sweet, which is great with a take out rotisserie chicken from Longos. Definitely, a back pocket wine for an impromptu dinner. — 6 years ago
Light and fruity. Almost an effervescent quality. Lime zest and tartness come through on the finish. — 6 years ago
Went on a wine tour here and this was one of the wines we got to sample. Very tasty and light. Yeah Canada!!! — 7 years ago

Has a roasted red color to it. The nose is velvety, nutty, and tart. On first sip, I get deep red fruit flavors with some smoke and pepper. Some mulling spices almost. I'm getting black currant, cherry, hint of honey. Has like a cedar taste on the back of it it. It's complex but smooth. Very little tannins. — 4 years ago
Really lovely and super light. Berries and pepper. Accessible and balanced. Great value. — 6 years ago

What an absolute amazing wine. This is truly one of my favorite VQA’s. Subtle spice, strong fruit, light finish. Nothing too complex but just perfect. — 7 years ago
