As phenomenal as I remember from nearly a decade ago. Scintillating nose of stewed ripe capsicum, dried blackberries and black raspberry, savory sweet tobacco, dried trumpet mushroom, also fresh blackberry and fresh bell pepper. Medium bodied, moderate alcohol, beautiful acidity- medium plus. Medium tannins (super melted). Finish has a lot to say- fruits are more forward than the last bottle I had. This is really nice! — 9 years ago
A friend brought a 1991 Mag of Araujo Estate Eisele Vineyard, we believe the 1st. Vintage. When first opened it had a little funk. Decanted for 2-hrs. This wine was beautiful, it had no bricking, deep ruby color. The nose had cassis, leather, cedar, & a hint of red & black fruit. The mouth feel was decadent with velvety tannins. In the palate black currant, cedar, touch leather & earthiness. Very impressive & paired wonderful with a rid roast with trumpet mushrooms! Thanks Rick — 9 years ago
Though they don't list the vintage, I will say that the 2015 release is amazing. Full fruit with a definite blackberry at mid-palate (blend of Syrah, Grenache and heavy Tempranillo). The finish is smooth and begs for more imbibing. I can't wait to see how this ages. Pairs well with sourdough bread and wounded trumpet players. — 10 years ago
1985 The Eyrie Vineyards South Block Pinot Noir - Sweet tobacco smoke, fresh peppercorn, dried pine bark, trumpet mushrooms and ripe red cherries create the nose. Soft, round, and creamy on the palate, with fresh cherries and strong, well-integrated acidity abounding. Blood orange on the mid-palate, with an elegant and beautiful finish accented with hints of strawberries. So fresh and alive! #delectableapp #bestservermistakeever#hegotagoodtip — 10 years ago
Some would say lack of concentration is a bad thing, but in this case, it made for an easy to drink bottle that went well with our sashimi bowls- especially the trumpet mushrooms. The wine had subtle caramel and peach flavors, and got better all night. Thanks @Jim Westby ! — 8 years ago
2012. Love that the estate wines are Inglenook again. Young cab paired great with a rare sirloin cap, trumpet mushrooms, and eggplant caviar. — 9 years ago
At Tucci celebrating Theo's great report card, great final standardized school test results and the purchase of his new Trumpet (as he starts music lessons in prep for 4th grade)...oh yeah, the Barbaresco is just wonderful. Great wine with a flowery nose and long-lasting finish. Big, full bodied wine....will go well with the truffle oil, portobello pizza on its way! — 9 years ago
Birthday wine from Tim. Concentrated lemon-gold color in the glass. Slightly reductive (struck match, burnt rubber). Highly complex nose of saffron and wax (botrytis), chilled honeydew and cantaloupe, melon custard (even a suggestion of durian), dried orange peel, faint candied rose petals (terpenes), fresh king trumpet mushrooms (some development, but early in it), and a powerful impression of wet stones and crushed rock.
There's some viscosity in the mouth. Alcohol is slightly elevated. Seems around 13%. Elevated acidity, strong, clean, and mostly tartaric. Modest phenolic bitterness with a sweet radish impression.
On the finish it stops surprisingly short given the intensity on the mid palate, but this is a classic example where the length of the finish shouldn't determine quality. The complex and balanced nature of the nose carried this for me. A real treat! — 10 years ago
Reduction is a bit obvious in this wine, but as with most Evening Land wines, this works itself out and integrates well with the wine over time. Flint and burnt matchsticks on the nose, alongside with portobello mushrooms, baked blackberries, and brambles. Blackberries, Italian plums, and creme de cassis in greet the tongue, cherries, blueberries and fresh orange peel on the mid-palate, with anise seed, white trumpet mushrooms, and subtle tones of basalt. Gorgeous Gamay made in the carbonic-style. — 10 years ago
Love this wine. Utterly perfect match for Xmas Eve dinner of Venison loin with cherry port sauce, black trumpet mushroom potato gratin, and roasted Brussels sprouts! — 10 years ago
Dry white. 500ml bottle. Very interesting. Went well with jambon wrapped trout over trumpet mushrooms @thecommissary in the presidio — 11 years ago
This wine blew me away. Somm poured us a Blind taste after dinner at A16. He also reps the wine for the Importer Trumpet in SF. It's like crossing Pinot D'anuis/Cabernet or something bizarre. White pepper dominant but way too much structure to be Grenache. I think I called it Carignan. Who has the Trumpet portfolio in PDX? — 8 years ago
With scallops w trumpet mushrooms and asparagus puree. — 9 years ago

2012 Patton Valley Vineyard Queen Bee - Blackberries, cherry cola, and hints of black trumpet mushrooms. Black cherries, blackberries, cinnamon and mace gush on the tongue. Black currants, vanilla, and field mushrooms fill out the mid-palate, with a rather short finish of cola and grapefruit pith. — 10 years ago
2005 Ganevat Sainte Cécyle Appealing chocolate-berry and black trumpet aromas. Medium bodied, fresh and youthful. Earthy, dense fruit leaning towards dark berries with hints of spice and lurking complexity. Well structured and long. Lovely. — 10 years ago
Great with our just picked black trumpet mushrooms — 10 years ago
Such a strange taste - savory and bitter - but ended up going perfectly with my king trumpet mushroom dish. — 11 years ago

Lilia part 1: amazing Fiano from a producer of orange wine Ive had in past; part Burgundy (just a detailed wine?), citrus nose w almond bitters, multi layered, gorgeous mouthfeel w enough acidity for replenishing. A clear color belies its weight & seriousness.Went w grilled monkfish, trumpet mushrooms w balsamic arugula & hazelnut just fine — 8 years ago
