Peach, mango, full body balanced by bright acidity. Not a lot getting in the way here. — 3 years ago
Only a few sips left. Pairs well with air and probably fatty foods but I only bought one bottle so just enjoying. so glad I don’t have to share. — 5 years ago
Fruit forward, nice structure, balanced acid on the back-end. — 6 years ago
Balanced Cabernet Sauvignon from Dave Matthews, light with grape flavor and low acid and tannin, at Dirty Water Pizza Co. In Back Bay, Boston — 6 years ago
This will only get better with age and it’s already terrific. The biggest takeaway for me was the lingering taste of hot chocolate mix; subtle but undeniable. The bouquet is stuffed with cedar shavings, the dark fruit is strong but not obnoxious and the tannins coat the tongue, rather than attack it. — 7 years ago
Fig and plum, pinch of raisin. Silky texture, some forest and baking spice. Magnum — 3 years ago
Nose has ripe black cherry, blackberry, spring violets, vanilla, melted bittersweet chocolate and dry earth.
Palate has dried black cherry, ripe black currant, ripe plum, wet tree bark, molasses bread and under-ripe cherry, slightly tart with medium tannins.
Bottled under Stelvin closure, opened for slow oxidation 6H, then decanted 2H, more time appreciated. Notes to be updated.
24H Update:
Nose exudes ripe, sappy dark red fruits, just overrunning the Gabriel Glas, light (warm) molasses, brown bread dough and black cherry syrup reduction. Palate is crazy, all prior traits but with a sweet reduction and the acidity actually picked up. Moving this score from 9.4 to 9.5, likely one of the finest red German wines I've ever tasted. An equal to finely aged Burgundy wine. — 4 years ago
Excellent wine. Paired well with the elk steak I had with it.

Not usually a fan of Chardonnay, but this was a pleasant surprise. Very bright, and doesn’t taste too rich. Excellent chilled. Strong notes of green apples and pears. — 7 years ago

Polished Cab Franc with well integrated wood notes, currants, black cherry, bramble, and herbs, coffee. Light green pepper. Had with meatballs with mushroom gravy and polenta. — 7 years ago
Intensely perfumed nose of pine and redwood with spiced red fruits, a bit of a nervous energy that still needs to settle especially if sipping without food. On the palate the red fruit is sappy and sweet with good acidity though the pine and spice keep it structured. Different food makes it show differently but not really toward the fresh juicy direction like the Soberanes. Getting to know the vineyard and feels like a cold weather fall and winter wine. Very unique wine from a unique site. — 7 years ago
